Went there for dinner with husband . When I went to pay I ask if there was a senior discount she said yes. After I paid and sat back down the cashier came to me and said that John the owner sent her to tell me that she was not supposed to have given me a discount since we had split a meal and also because it was only a chief salad so that now I owed him .70 more. I told her to go tell him since he was to chicken to come to me himself tell him we will Never be back.

Basic diner food. Always packed on the weekend, though you don't have to wait more than 15 minutes. Its a great place to nurse a hangover after a rowdy night in Rockford. I have been here twice and have no complaints. Just dont expect anything spectacular.

Why don't local Rockford restaurants know how to keep their floors clean? It's disgusting. No matter how mediocre the food is you can't get past how filthy the place is. "I'll have what she has....under her feet."

Best meal in Rockford that I've had so far. Yes, I know, that doesn't say much. Service: extremely friendly, accommodating, attentive service. Coffee cup was never empty, service was always with a smile, etc etc. Yay! 5 stars for service! Food: you get alot of food for a good price. As for taste...eh... Not bad, just not fantastic. The gyros omelet that I've had at other restaurants was bursting with gyros flavor; this one tasted like the feta cheese and I could hardly taste the tiny tiny pieces of gyros meat. The cheese and broccoli soup was your typical soup, whether you get it at a wedding or a 24 hour restaurant - better with crackers mixed in (I wouldn't do that to fantastic soup!) The hashbrowns were offered extra crispy, which of course I gladly accepted, but came browned on the outside and almost undercooked underneath it. Boo
